Whichever bastard stole my fishing net, bring it back, 2026
Mixed media installation (in development)

This work develops from site-based observations at South Gare, where informal fishing structures occupy the edge of the industrial coastline.

The title is drawn from a phrase reportedly once graffitied on one of the huts. Recalled differently by multiple sources, the statement exists as a fragment, shifting between memory, speculation, and invention.

The project centres on a partially reconstructed shelter, functioning less as architecture and more as a device for observation. Within and around the structure, a series of documents reference an unidentified figure who recorded tidal movements, sightings beyond the breakwater, and environmental changes.

The work considers how place is assembled through partial information, misremembered language, and material reconstruction.
