The Kiosk

Kiosk is an interactive installation exploring memory, nostalgia, and local heritage through a mobile, site-based structure.

Originally commissioned for Navigator North’s Most Creative Station programme, the work was situated within Middlesbrough Railway Station between 2024–25.

Inspired by a 1955 archival image of E.D. Walker & Wilson’s news kiosks, the project reimagines the newsstand as a space for collective making and exchange. Visitors are invited to engage with local histories through drawing and printmaking, generating new artefacts shaped by shared experience.
